Health Care Not Covering Abuse Victims

Here is an article I came across that stunned me a lot.
I thought it was horrid how victims of domestic violence
may not be insured because their condition is said to be "pre-existing."
It is definitely a new take on pre-existing...

  1. I think this is the most blatant example we've come across that health insurance needs reform. These insurers are trying to find ANYTHING to deny coverage.

  2. I think that that's crazy! Even though it is considered a "pre-existing" condition it shouldn't matter whether or not the insurers extend coverage to them.

  3. I can't believe this ruling is in eight different states. This is an entire issue by itself. There are so many abuse victims every year, a topic that we talked about in health last year. This problem needs to brought to a higher positions because this is just ridiculous. How can a state, let alone a health insurance company, be so oblivious and blind to big issue.
