This article from reuters is about how the government is making a law that employers will have to give workers paid sick days to prevent them from coming to work sick.
I agree with Nathaniel, but the recession is part of it too. If people weren't as strapped for cash, they probably would just take their days off without payment.
That's very true, without all of the panic from Swine Flue (I know I'm not being PC), I dont think this would have happened. People are missing more days from work than ever, at a time when it is absolutely crucial to make money.
If there was no H1N1 hysteria, I don't think this law would have passed.
