    It is amazing to see how this is effecting us on a local level. Because were always talking about it on a national level.

    It is also important to look specifically at the seasonal aspect of business in our area. Just putting the Film Festival on Columbus Weekend can have an adverse effect. It is interesting that wedding are holding steady. Shouldn't the recession effect this as well?

    True, about the weddings. I think a wedding is one of those things that people are willing to splurge on, no matter how the economy is doing. You're (maybe) only going to get married once, and if you don't want to postpone the ceremony, you have to do something big.

    Its interesting to see where those pockets of "absolute importance" fall.
